Hello and Welcome!
Welcome to my personal website. My name is Vitalii Ostrovskyi and I am a scientist and an entrepreneur. I've got my Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics first from KNU (in Ukraine) and then from USC.
At USC I was doing my research at the "Mathematical & Computational Modeling Lab" under the supervision of Prof. Paul Newton (see newton.usc.edu). My main fields of interest are machine learning, statistical modeling, data mining, symplectic geometry, variational integrators, and fluid dynamics. More details you can find on this page.
I enjoy scientific programming and here are some examples of open source libraries I've developed.
